Patient Care

On-Site Vascular Lab

Our highly-skilled staff and leading diagnostic equipment help us provide a full range of diagnostic vascular tests for our patients.

Types of Tests

Carotid Duplex Test

Identifies narrowing of the arteries, aneurismal areas, atherosclerosis or partially blocked areas for possible risk of stroke. We will place a clear gel on your neck and guide a transducer over the gel to get images and listen to your blood flow.

Venous Duplex Test

Helps your doctor see and evaluate blood flow blockages (like clots), narrowing vessels, tumors or congenital malformations. We will place a clear gel on the area of the body to be studied and guide a transducer over the area to get images and listen to your blood flow.

Arterial Pressure and Waveforms

Locates areas of blockage within arteries. We will place several blood pressure cuffs on different areas of your arms and legs to get blood pressure readings and waveforms.

Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) Test

Evaluates the circulation in your legs to determine if there is a narrowing of your arteries. We will measure your blood pressure at the ankle and the arm twice, once while at rest and once after five minutes of walking. Your doctor will compare the readings by forming a ratio of your numbers.
